Built from a rehearsal room,
not a boardroom
Sonora started because being a member of a performing arts group is about art, not software.
Learning lines, parts, music, or choreography is what artists care about
not software
Sonora was born out of Revv52, a vocal group (choir) with 50+ members of all ages based out of Calgary, Canada. I'm a member and the tools at our disposal were making learning music, choreo, and schedules more difficult than helpful. Like most performing arts groups, Revv52 was held together with a patchwork of tools: forScore for sheet music, Slack for announcements, spreadsheets for schedules, and Google Drive for PDF sheet music and rehearsal tracks that stopped playing when you locked your device.
Tools like those aren't built for performing arts organizations or music educators. They're built for business teams, remote workers, or project managers. They don't understand that rehearsal tracks need to be listened to on the go or that sheet music should be visible while listening to a track.
So I built Sonora: a single platform that understands what performing arts organizations and music educators actually need. Rehearsal track players with many features, program management, section-based communication, and scheduling all in one place and all for one price.
And Sonora is just getting started. I can't wait to hear from you about how Sonora can serve your group and what features you'd like to see next. Being an artist is hard enough, the tools should help you enhance those artistic skills, not be a hindrance to them.

Sonora's Values
Built by performers
Sonora was born from real frustration being in a choir. Every Sonora feature exists because a performing arts group actually needs it.
Affordable by design
Per-user pricing doesn't work for volunteer ensembles with 60+ members. Sonora is flat-rate so your costs don't scale with your roster.
One platform, not five
Stop stitching together Google Drive, Slack, email, and spreadsheets. Sonora connects the dots so your members don't have to.
The arts deserve better tools
Corporate software wasn't built for rehearsal tracks, voice parts, and concert programs. We built something that was.
Let's hit the stage
We're accepting new groups for our private beta. Reach out and we'll show you how Sonora can serve your arts program.
